Gov. Cuomo Announces Foreclosure Prevention Program In Bedford-Stuyvesant Area
New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo took steps to make resources available to struggling Brooklyn area homeowners in early July. The Department of Financial Services is working with the Neighborhood Housing Services of Bedford-Stuyvesant to bring a mobile command center directly to the neighborhood to get the word out about taking action early to avoid foreclosure. This location is one of many around the state, reports Cuomo, in an effort to help New York residents save their homes. The services offered by the mobile unit include one-on-one meetings with “foreclosure prevention specialists.”
